DownTools AI is operated by Daniel Reading, based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for any personal data you provide through this website and our survey.

2. What data we collect

When you complete our early access form or tradesperson survey, we may collect:

• Your name
• Email address
• Phone number / WhatsApp number
• Your trade and business details
• Your answers to survey questions about your work and admin challenges

We do not collect payment information, sensitive personal data, or any data from children.

3. Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We collect your data on the basis of consent — you voluntarily provide it by submitting our form. We use it to:

• Contact you about your early access request
• Set up your DownTools AI account when the product launches
• Follow up on your survey responses to shape the product
• Send you relevant updates about DownTools AI (you can opt out at any time)

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of third-party services to operate our website. They process your data only on our behalf:

• Formspree (formspree.io) — processes form submissions and emails them to us. Their privacy policy →
• Cloudflare — hosts this website and provides security. Their privacy policy →
• Google Fonts — serves fonts for this website (no personal data is stored by Google from this).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your contact details for as long as you remain interested in DownTools AI, or until you ask us to delete them. Survey responses may be retained in anonymised form for longer to help us understand the market.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Withdraw consent — opt out at any time; this does not affect anything before withdrawal
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Object — object to how we use your data

7. Cookies

This website uses Google Fonts, which makes a request to Google's servers to load typefaces. No personal data is stored as a result of this. We do not currently use tracking cookies or analytics. If we add these in future, we will update this policy and add a cookie consent notice.

8. Security

This website is served over HTTPS and hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Form data is transmitted securely via Formspree's encrypted service. We take reasonable steps to protect your data, though no internet transmission is 100% secure.
